He's another guy I wouldn't mind at the right price, but I keep seeing the Rockets being linked to guys like that. My guess is that Morey won't overpay unless it's on a potential No. 2 or No. 3 guy (Conley or Horford, for example). For the Gordons, Lins and Mozgovs of the league, he's only going to sign guys he can get for cheap.
Conley/ Bev /Glove Jr. Harden/ Gordon / KJ Ariza/ Dekker / Dudley DMo/ BeasGod / Harrell Horford/ Capela / Onuaku
Why are you guys talking down his defense? He has always been a very good on ball defender dating wayyyyy back.
For the right price? Absolutely. He has the natural skills and instincts of an All-Star. He just can't stay healthy. Well, that and he's lost a step athletically. He's not as explosive as he once was. Fortunately for him, he's a gifted scorer, shooter and playmaker; skills that don't rely on raw athleticism. He can play. I like the idea of bringing him off of the bench.
It's all about the right price. I would love to see Eric Gordon on the court with James Harden. There would be no argument about who the ball handler would be, it would be James. Gordon would provide that off the ball player to team with James that we have been talking about for years. Of course you just can't invest a ton of money in Eric Gordon though because you can't really rely on him to be healthy. I would like to see the Rockets get him for less than 10 million.
