It's that time of year again. The biggest stage of high school football in this country: playoffs in Texas. In the brand new Class 6A (really just 5A with a new name), the Division I bracket looks wide-open, especially in Region III, with the likes of Pearland, Lamar, an undefeated Dickinson, Cy-Fair, and Cy Ranch. In Region II, The Woodlands will take on Klein Oak, and Klein Collins will face Oak Ridge. On the Division II side of things, everyone is expecting a Katy-Manvel matchup in Region III. In the 2 Region II matchups in the Houston area, Westfield will face off against College Park, and Spring will face Atascocita. Also... Johnson City is somehow 9-1 this year (they are never good) and in the next round of the 2A playoffs they're facing the #1 team in the state, 10-0 Refugio.

One play later, they tie the game at 28 with 1 minute left. There's 29 seconds to go, and Argyle has the ball at its own 42. They just called their last timeout.
Don't know anything about Ennis, but Ceder Park has been a force in CenTex for many years. Hell, I just learned where Argyle, TX was. I'm assuming Ennis is up around Dallas too.
I saw Cedar Park at Texas State a couple of years ago when they played Tivy in the 2nd round... that was the year they won state. A couple of those kids on the field now were probably sophomores then, because their names rang a bell for me. And yeah, Ennis is right in the Dallas area. It's where Graham Harrell of Texas Tech fame played.

Also, in the 3A Division I title game between Mineola and Cameron Yoe, I witnessed quite possibly the worst decision ever made in a football game at any level. On the opening kickoff, the Mineola player just let the ball bounce and no one touched it. One kid on the Cameron Yoe kickoff team dove on the ball, and Cameron Yoe got the ball on Mineola's 15. Yes, they scored.
Well, Cedar Park was stuffed on 4th down after they recovered a fumble. And.... an apparent Cedar Park fumble was whistled dead. Fox Sports replay showed that the ball was coming out before the CP runner's knee hit the ground. Tough 1st half for this officiating crew.
