We couldn’t think of many so I thought it would be a good topic. What are your top 5 hot actresses that can act? Good grief, no! My votes would go to Helena Bonham Carter and Nicole Kidman. Juliette Moore is pretty talented as well. Susan Sarandon is an attractive older woman and a great actress.
I know Sharon Stone was a stretch but she was good in Casino. I forgot Julianne Moore, she easily replaces Sharon Stone. For some reason all of the women that fit this category are older.
Agree with Charlize, Gwyneth and Julia Roberts. Halle Berry is the most overrated actress and I don't know who Hilary Swank is.
Hilary Swank is famous from Boys Don't Cry, where she played a guy. She was also very good in Insomnia. She is a great actress but not that hot. Good call on Halle Berry being overrated. I have seen her in most of her well know roles and she was just adequate at best. Another one I forgot to include in my list is Winona Ryder even though she is a theif.

I didnt realize that Halle won an oscar. I will give her acting ability the benifit of the doubt, but her increased payday could be attributed to her looks and her recent popularity. Hilary Swank is an excellent actreress but I don't find her to be that hot, which could have a lot to do with her roles.
The deals that actors make after they make films don't come into fruition until a few years after. Therefore, I think she was hired to be the Bond girl and negotiated her price long before Swordfish or Monster's Ball were ever released.
Dont even get me started on why Halle won the best actress award. I am not saying she sucks, but she is definitely not a really good actress and nor is she thaaat hot. Warning - Probably colored by my love of BtVS. Eliza Dushku - Hasn't gotten her break with a lead role, but she is a scene stealer and definitely a hottie. Sarah Michelle Gellar - Very underrated as an actress. She has an Emmy (of the daytime variety, but still) and has shown an ability to play a range of roles. She has also done an excellent job in comedic performances on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and those are the hardest roles to play well (IMO). Marrying a toolbox like Freddie Prince Jr. hurts her a little, but she will be successful for a long time. Loved her in Cruel Intentions. Linda Hamilton - A bit older, but I thought she looked great in T2. Even in the same character, we can see her stretch her range from the early damsel in distress Sarah Conner, to the badass that fights off the T-1000 with one arm. Alyson Hannigan - Her savvy lesbo witch is radically different than her wild band geek, yet she makes you believe both. For those who question her hotness quotient, I refer you to the following Buffy episodes -> Holloween, the Wish, and Dopplegangland. Mmmm, dominatrix Willow. Michelle Trachtenburg - She is cute (might be too young to call hot) but I can see her taking over for SMG if she ever decides to lead the show. She can play her emotions pretty well without being melodramatic (although she has done that too, on occasion) Janeanne Garafolo - I have always found her attractive (except maybe in Reality Bites, yikes) and she has a talent. I don't know that it is great acting ability though, it is more just that she is the funniest woman in the world.
