Ryan Fitzpatrick, aka Fitzmagic or the Amish Rifle, is a man for his place and time. His leadership style is perfect for the Texans. Despite his current 5-5 TD to INT ratio he is leading the team to wins. He shows confidence in our receivers and himself, a quality Schaub undeniably lacked. He will turn the ball over but he will also improve the team's overall mentality. In Fitzpatrick we trust.

I trust whatever leads to wins. You may have the last laugh but currently have no right to complain.

Things he does that Schaub did...
    throw picks

Things he doesnt do that Schaub did...
    throw pick 6's

Things he does that Schaub couldnt do...
    1. Throw with velocity
    2. Scramble for yds
    3. Play with Emotion on the field
    4. Takes shots down the field
    5. Sacrifices his body on plays knowing he is gonna get popped.

Ryan has started as well as we couldve hoped regardless of the schedule. The guy has been a breath of fresh air at the position regardless of his 5 TD/5 INT ratio.

This game means something to Fitz. All I know is if the Texans want to know how to play they need to look to Fitzpatrick because he will lead them to a win.

He is a journeyman QB who seems to do enough to win for now.
No doubt Texans will be on the lookout for a better opportunity so until a better one comes along Texans fans should show their support and appreciation.

Draft Mike Bercovici, QB for Arizona State University. No matter when and if he comes out. Get him. Don't care how he is rated. Don't give a flip what the scouts say, what ESPN says, what McNair thinks, what Ric Smith wants, just draft and sign this sucker. He is a winner!!! I don't think I have ever seen a more gutsy (and skilled) qb performance at any level, ever.

Good analysis, but if you had watched the Giants game there were a couple of picks the Giants dropped that would have been pick 6s. I also like how you mention regardless of schedule; the schedule is WEAK, because they were the worst team last year. The next 3 games will be challenging. Let's see how he does against those teams. You may not be singing your jolly praises.

If not for Watt's insane play we could be 1-3 right now and everyone would hate Fitz

I'm not really convinced that he's our franchise QB but I don't think we ever saw any of our previous QB's try to fire up the team before kickoff.

I just like his grit. Always have.

He's not the man to lead anyone to the promised land, but he is the perfect stop gap for this team, even though he will frustrate me beyond belief soon.

The one thing to remember is, this is a very complicated offense, and everyone is still learning it. We will get better as the year goes on because of this. Fitz just needs to keep playing like he is.

Tide us over so we can groom Brett Hundley.

I like that he takes big hits to facilitate his inevitable relegation to the injury reserve and allow us to experience mallet time

The toughness and leadership of Fitzpatrick are the biggest assets to building up this young team.

Really though Fitzpatrick has to have a successful run game to be efficient.
When he does have it, see much of the preseason and Weeks 1&2, the offense looks almost elite. With Foster out, see Week 3 and with Foster rusty you get a so-so performance that steals a win in Week 4.

Tomorrow might be the best D Texans see this year

    It's not Fitzgerald?

Seriously though, I like his moxie. Dude plays with passion. He avoids pressure pretty well and has had great scrambles for first downs sacrificing his body for extra yards. Not sure how long his body will maintain playing that way, but he's played decent so far this year.

You have to be kidding me.

He is nowhere close to what Schaub was his first several years before his collapse.

The beard is ugly too. It's not a cool James Harden-like beard.

He should not be the QB next year.

Pretty confident that interception was Foster's fault

Almost certainly, but Fitz hasn't been great today.
