Looks like we're going to have to win out (obviously), San Diego will have to lose today and against San Francisco, Chiefs will have to lose to Steelers next week. This is just one scenario where we would make it, definitely some others.

We also need the Bills to lose to Patriots in Week 17.

it's over. close thread. with the texans, you have to take account that the crazy unforeseen shortcomings will happen. fumble with no contact, no problem. broken leg on a qb run, sure why not. =(

Looked further into it and looks like we must win out, have Chargers lose today and against SF next week, Stealers have to beat the Chiefs next week, Browns will have to beat Ravens in Week 17, and Patriots will have to beat Bills week 17. Yikes.

I mean it looks bleak now but I could still see us going into Week 17 with a decent shot at making it. Think how bleak it looked in '09 but we ended up just barely missing the wild card.

personally right about now...that basically the best scenario...

Looking like Keenum will start these last two games. Higher draft pick...the better. 8-8 is nice for the books, but a 7-9 finish might net us a higher pick...and really this team needs high value picks...Too bad the one picking those players, has set this franchise back several years. Thanks Rick...

8% chance isn't that bad, I don't know about you but I'm sure as hell rooting as hard as I can for the playoffs. I'm tired of losing seasons for 1 prospect, that usually won't become anything more then a solid starter.

This. Our best draft picks have been AJ, Brown, JJ, and Nuk. This team doesn't draft well and talent can be had all over the place.

Bills, Chargers, Chiefs and the Bengals need to lose. Bengals need to lose their final two games. And Texans need to win their final two games. Damn Packers let me down last week against the Bills that would have eliminate the Bills for good. But still though, the Texans need to get the job done these final two games.

What we want is multiple teams at 9-7. If we can get into a three-way or four-way logjam at 9-7 then we own all the tiebreakers. Our conference record is the best among those that might finish at 9-7 and, therefore, we would get in based on that tiebreaker.

The only tiebreaker we don't have is if there is a two-way tie between Houston and Pittsburgh. They own the head to head tiebreaker. Pretty much all other two-way scenarios at 9-7 has us with the head to head or conference record tiebreaker.

scenarios 3,4, 5 are still in play. keep hope alive.

arghh season was done when posey got called for that hold. no way they call that on andre.
better yet season was done on 3 and 2 with no arian in the backfield. i won't let that go til we're in the playoffs next season. why not run the harvard sweep with fitzie but noooo you just had to spread it out with fitzie as qb!

    ^he still mad.
