Hilarious observation, and this time, THANK GOD, the murderer's already in custody, so we don't have to have our playoff game interrupted by a damn car chase. I don't think I have a more vivid memory from my childhood than how pissed off my mom and I were about the White Bronco during the '94 Finals.

This isn't true. Both Rae Carruth and Eric Naposki have been convicted since then.

 

Not only is the premise not true, but in the case the player was found not guilty. In this case he was found guilty. If there were some weird cosmic force at work, this alone would tell you be depressed because the outcome will be reversed.

On top of that, the OJ trial had not started when the Rockets were in the playoffs, the Hernandez trial concluded beforehand. (though he likely to be charged for additional murders as well.)

All around a fail of a thread.

Man that was such a mess, fortunately today with all of the different sources for media/channels it would take a lot more than a silly car chase to interrupt the playoffs.
