People don't understand why she was in season 1? Fish out of water, person that needs stuff explained to her so the audience gets a sense of the world.
Don't tell me, I've always liked her, and understood her presence, but that was a common complaint. That and no actual super heroes.
I'm in a same wagon, really couldn't ever warm up to Skye's character and it's gotten to the point where I kind of tune out. I get the idea and what they are setting up but think they did a piss poor job of building the character, plus the actress isn't very good. I watched all the episode of the back half of the season and I'm still kind of meh on the show as a whole. I get the whole civil war set up they are laying out and EJO joining the show gives it a boost for me but all the characters are just kind of thin, IMO. At least they added ‎Adrianne Palicki for some good eye candy....
I understand her purpose as well. But the whole show centered around her too much The InHumans part of the show finally made it make sense at least but early on far too often she was the catalyst of the show which was called Agents of Shield . . . and she wasn't an Agent I am kind of ambivilent on the direction they going now I like the Inhuman parts but now they are not Agents of Shield but Agents of Colson . ..or Agents of Colson's Shield While I understand the need for a central character or characters I liked when they were a part of the team . . . I really liked Trip too. Knowing Raina will move on [or be a different actress] is disappointing Addition of Bobbi is good too. [Eye Candy as well as a counter for May] Glad they brought back DeathLok [I still have a few of those comics] I read a article where he was talking about his role How basically is started with Him and Skye [Coincidentally] I'm still on board .. . . but they need to pick it up Flash is kicking the ***** out of their @sses Rocket River
For me the series is really picking up. So many things are paying off from as far back as season 1. Skye as 0-8-4 stuff, Melinda back on the series instead of standing around in the back. Chloe Bennet is not a good actress but the story is in full swing.
This season is now starting to pick up, we got the answers to a few questions in the last episode, which was nice. I like Skye, think shes a hottie, so I havent had a problem with her character being around alot. Now that shes inhuman she deserves the air time. I think a good bit of her air time was actually meant to build up Coulson as a good guy which is currently being questioned.
I still feel like May is helping Colson but I think they need to show some true feelings about his deceptions I think the weakest thing is that the characters are not Growing they are almost all the same cutouts they were in Episode 1 Fritz is Fritzie-er May is still Stone Faced May Other Scientist chicks still kind of ditzie Rocket River
Skye isn't because she is a bad actress. I think the writers realized the only thing she can pull off is a confused look. Fitz has grown. He is still awkward but now independent of Simmons. They had to show Melinda's character arc through a backstory which as I mentioned earlier was sorely needed. They do have a problem though. The killed Trip and put the flower dress girl in a mask and those were possibly the two best actors they had. I see the flaws but the story is moving. The setups are paying off and there is no grind factor.
I did like this week's episode. Spoiler The intro of STRUCKER is great He did not show up but .. . just throwing the name around is great I like the confusion on the team. May and Crew seeing Colson with Garret threw them all for a loop Not sold on AGENT 33 yet Still liking DEATHLOK! It is definitely improving Rocket River
I think it's because Ward adds the most suspense to the story. He's the biggest wild card, and his motives are never clear. All the other characters are pretty archetypical and flat. It's funny because in the first three episodes, I hated Ward the most because he seemed like the prototypical tall, dark, handsome good guy, yet he turns into the most intriguing character.
Ditto. Good episode overall. I can't get a read on Skye's mom though. She seems to be acting like there's something big she's keeping from Skye and/or she's not looking out for Skye's best interest. If I didn't know any better I'd say that woman is a poor actress, but she was great in Dollhouse (or, at least, seemed great compared to Eliza Dushku).
I agree as well. He is the stick that stirs the drink Ward has come a long way .. . . they need more morally ambiguity For a Spy show . . .the amount of intrigue and subterfuge is lacking Rocket River
Show has become pretty steady in my book. Not as good as the Winter Soldier arc to finish last season, but a giant step up from the early trash. Certainly my favorite network show right now. The Avengers comes out after next weeks episode so things should really pick up. I've always liked the Skye character, and have never had a problem with the actress, but I guess opinions differ.
I'm pretty sure they consider it present time. It's in the same universe as the movies, and I think the movies are set in present time. I'm surprised Chloe Wang is playing someone older. It's usually the other way around.
Pretty meh episode. Good to see the team back together. Looks like Bakshi is out of the picture now. The only cool thing was the camera directing during Skye's action sequence. Sort of True Detective-esque, good way to hide her face for the stunt double, too. Avengers 2 Spoilers Spoiler Very weak tie-in to the MCU. Not as synergistic with the films as it was with Winter Soldier. Kinda expected more and hoping it would save this season which so far been overall average.
