    "The Greatest Story Ever Told" is a good fictionalized account of the life of Jesus, although somewhat pandering. If you're looking for something satirical I recommend Christopher Moore's "Lamb." I haven't read it in years but think it would be suitable for Christians. Jesus' supposed best friend is the butt of most jokes.

    Also--antiquity entails mostly Greek literature. Your thread is confusing.
