Green onions, cilantro, eggs, ham, sriracha are REALLY easy and inexpensive ways to dress up a ramen bowl. If you want to spend a little more time and money, you can add more protein such as tofu, sliced pork/chicken/beef. As far as the topic, I don't even like the sandwiches at Panera Bread, so I probably wouldn't bother with these.
Um, have you ever been to a Jewish Deli... or Panera? The two are nothing alike. Panera is an institutionalized and processed cafe. It is what it is. There is a LOT of worse options out there. That doesn't make Panera good, just makes it what it is. I go to Panera a couple times a month, but 99% of my visits are for a very quick breakfast - coffee and pastry type thing - when I'm not doing something local. It is on par with Starbucks in that regard for me, and the local Starbucks isn't a drive-thru anyway.
I'm either going to try the edamame bowl fro Panera tonight, or else go back to our standard 888 JetBeam WL-S1, more likely. But I'm curious. Hopefully Pamela came up with something good here. I'll report back,
Hey man, there's something you ought to know - Park Avenue leads to: Spoiler sorry, the Pantera references seemed to fall on deaf ears so I had to take it up (or down) a notch.
