So it didn't take too long for East to catch up ? I know it's still early, but there is 10 teams in the East who got 50% or higher win ratio, while West got 8.

Past few years West been historically good, while East have had tons of bad teams, but i guess it's pretty even right now. What do you think ?

    So far, inter-conference record is

    40-39 Eastern ahead

As for .500 teams, not really a good indication of anything, yet.

This could be skewing the numbers

GWS is 14-0 in the Western Conf
PHI is 0-11 in the Eastern Conf

If you think that the East hasn't improved you are deluding yourself.
BUT the serious contenders of the East remain the same = 1. It's the middle class that has gotten stronger and more competitive.

Heat look very solid and so does the Pacers to some extend, obviously Cavs will most likely come out, out of East, but how many contenders does West have? At the moments i see 3.

Some teams in the east have gotten better, but there is still only one great team. These early record are more about some teams out west not playing their best.

We'll see how the year plays out with all of these underachieving teams in the West. I'm still not buying the east as being better or even equal yet. And his hasn't been the last "few" years, it's been 15 seasons that the West has been significantly superior.

Things do change, I'm just not ready to acknowledge that just yet.

I think its more of western teams regressing. Teams like Houston, OKC, Memphis, Portland and etc have all been regressed comeparing to previous years.

West just past the East tonight winning 3 of 4 matchups, with the Suns beating Toronto on the road being the swing game.

    42-41 West

    Didn't take long?

    More than 15 years?

Even in the Bulls years the West had more good teams. It's been a LOOOOONG time.

The Lestern Conference should have no more than 6 playoff spots. We shouldn't have to watch some of these bad California and Texas teams in the playoffs. Give more seeds to the East.

Teams like Knicks would be 15-3 in the West. They are only 8-10 because they are in the strong conference. Unfair.

Well the current #8 seed in the East has a better record than the current #8 seed in the West. Can't remember the last time that happened.

There are really one three super-teams. GS, SA, and Cleveland. As of right now teams like the Heat, Pacers, Raptors, Charlotte, Bulls, Atlanta (and possibly even Boston) can tangle with any team in the west except for SA and GS. The east is definitely better.

Oklahoma City was disrupted a bit by losing Durant to injury.

But the disappointing seasons, so far, of the Rockets, Clippers and Grizzlies is what's made the West seem weaker this year. If they get it going again, I still think the West is considerably stronger, though the East does have a solid average-to-above-average tier.

Things are looking good for the East this year. If the trend continues, it would be the 2nd or 3rd time in the last 15 years that the East would have a better record vs the West. That doesn't make up for the last 15 years though. And many of those years the West winning percentage vs the East was approaching 60%.

0-3 today, albeit that's 6 road games vs 1 home game in last two days

    West record vs East now

    42-48
