I used to sink ships like crazy while working on a pitcher of beer, but I don't remember Manta Rays. :)-

You're looking for The Game Preserve on I-45 in Spring. Tempest and Defender, but no Battlezone.

For $15, you can play as much as you want. Or you can get a monthly membership for $30.

Since you brought it up, I'm going to piggy back off of this thread.

Does anyone remember a vertical scrolling game where you play various characters with 1-2 abilities and then you can pick up extra characters as you rescue them. For example, one of the characters is this Zulu warrior who throws spears as you move up through the scene. And as you rescue people, they tail behind you. At that point you can swap to them and use their unique ability. So it's like picking up extra lives but you can use their special skill.
I only played it once at the game room that used to be in Galleria back in the 80s.

Randomly was watching this youtube about old video games and he talked about Zippy Racing from 1983. A cross country rally type game, but found it interesting that Houston was one of the stops and you would drive into the downtown area.

    Las Vegas? Casino signs
    St Louis? The Arch
    Chicago? Sears Tower
    New York? Statue of Liberty

Houston? The old Gulf sign. I hadn't thought about it in years. Just bought a customized poster of it.
