Omg, Lin is getting dissected like an alien trying to determine his ability.

His avg assist is 4 per gm. Is that stat not good enough to say that's not bad coming off the bench?

I see what the op is tryng to show and I believe it thru the eye test. Asik fumbles the ball, dmo misses more earlier in the season, tjones and cp has shooting slumps. So missing high percentage shots.

Another point OP was trying to show is that his turnovers, because that is one thing that seems to be glaring especially to the eye test, are more than made up for by his assists efficiency.

Other point guards, most notably the elite ones like CP3 and Nash, turn the ball over at a very high rate but that is accepted because they do a lot more positive things to impact the success of the team.

The OP is showing that for Lin, it's the same thing. he may not be on the elite level but for his level of usage, the turnovers are compensated for by the positive things he does even though for the eye test alone, a lot of Lin's turnovers look really really ugly, especially for an NBA player. But in the end if stats like these prove otherwise, we take the good with the ugly.
