There has been a lot of great analysis of the signing, and some great breakdown by posters like Carl Herrera and BimaThug.

So, the question is, now that we know the details and how onerous it would be for the Bulls to match, do you think they will match the offer?

They could still amnesty Boozer in a couple of years if they had to, or trade Deng.

Personally, I believe it is 50/50 that they match, and maybe during these next 11 days Morey can get them to trade Noah to Houston.

So what say you, do the Bulls match or not?

I think there's a 15% chance that they match. I think Morey completely bid them beyond their comfort zone. They should just move on and give Taj Gibson more minutes.

Rockets should have it in their mind Chicago will 100% match and be exploring all avenues they possibly can.

Nothing is set in stone for the Rockets, and they need to come at it with this approach.

I don't think they match it.

They're good enough on defense, as it is. Thibodeau is amazing.

What they NEED to spend money on, is giving Rose more help on the offensive side of the ball.

The team is going nowhere if Rose gets injured, or if Rose is shut down by James. Which will inevitably happen if Miami meets Chicago in the playoffs.

They always come with this approach. Especially with RFAs.

Ideal situation for bulls is matching it and amnesty Boozer which is what they said.

On the other hand, why dont they try negotiating a SnT? Martin comes to mind.

    ROCK Bulls HARDPLACE

I don't know the CBA rules but if possible, I'd say the best course for Chicago is to work out a compromise deal with the Rockets so the don't get screwed so bad either way. If their is any damage mitigation possible they should do it.

If Rose wasn't out this season, then they may go for a 1-year rental of Martin, but they can't afford Martin beyond this season.

Count me in the camp that believes they will match.

If you look at how many horrible contracts they have on that roster, it gives me no reason to believe they'll start being smart starting now.

I wonder if the answer changes at all with Rose out for the majority of the 2012-2013 season most likely. Are they going to tank to try and improve their draft status? I think they will match it, but who knows.

I believe they will match and will try to do something in the next year or two to clear some of their bigger contracts.

The Bulls have been shopping Deng and Noah, but have found that there is very little interest around the league for them at their respective price tags, despite Deng's All-Star appearance. Their plan is probably to go with the cheaper Asik over Noah, but for that they need a taker for Noah, who will have few takers at his price tag in the current state of the league.

The offer sheet to Asik may prove to be its own backup plan: Noah for Martin before the trade deadline may be Rein$dorf's best way to dump Noah's contract without inciting a fan riot. Here's my thinking: The Bulls will probably match, then trade Noah to Houston for Kevin Martin (or somewhere else if they can find a taker). Houston can afford to pay Noah, Chicago can't, even without matching Asik.

I'd much prefer Noah over Asik.

Doesn't this kind of remind everyone of when Portland sent out a huge offer to Milsap and everyone said no way Utah would match it?

I just get the feeling that the Bulls will match and figure they have 2 years to sort it out.
