DN: Lakers might be getting another deal, first Rockets-Knicks. Of the rumors I heard, I was against, this one I sort of like. Your thoughts, as it stands?

BI: First thoughts, better be Al Harrington, not Hughes. He doesn't make sense.

DN: Wouldn't they buy out Hughes?

BI: Yeah. This has been discussed. Maybe this was the Rockets best offer. Intrigued by Harrington for the Rockets.

DN: WHere would he play?(Harrington)

BI: I guess Battier off the Bench and Harrington at the 3. TA1 at the 2 and then Al at the 3. Aspect of bringing in AH, you make that work.

RR: Mavs trade? Better, same, worse?

BI: Haywood makes them better but because of Haywood. Top 5 defender. Caron not having great year. Healthy Josh is better than Caron but he's not healthy. Defense will sag off him(Butler) and dare him to shoot. Like it from Haywood aspect but Mavs needed guy like Ray Allen.

DN: Josh Howard more upside. HOward hasnt played well in 1 1/2 years though. GOing back to finals, mental toughness lacking. CB3 gives them mental toughness. He is stable, good in lockerroom.

BI: No question. Only way makes them(Mavs) better is if CB3 can do what Stephen Jackson did for Bobcats. Made them believed, inspired them, etc. Mavs could use that. If he can do that, certainly a good move back into contention. I'll need to see that. I dont think that.

DN: Will be a deal to watch in long run. Amare to Cleveland rumors heating up. Lakers looking for PG in Hinrich.

BI: Been trying to get him since past summer. Talks are probably a little premature. Easy to see why.

DN: Come Thursday, what is done?

BI: Amare done, maybe not to Cleveland. McGrady done. And I think Kirk Hinrich to somewhere. ANd I'll throw out there, I dont think Houston-Chicago is dead. Adelman and Brad Miller connection. Makes more sense than NY. Other one is Jamison. Ultimately that team is done. LBJ is lobbying for Jamison. Cleveland may be using Amare as bait for Washington to trade Jamison.
