Durant chooses Houston (5% chance)if the Rockets have won a title within the next two years. Otherwise, there is a higher likelyhood of him staying at OKC(89%) or going to DC(9%). Houston(0.1%) is not happening, as much as I would love it.
The Suns are holding onto a top-5 protected pick from the Lakers. While the top-end protection is more than on the Pelicans pick, that Lakers pick is also more likely to fall in the mid-lottery (versus late lottery). My guess is that if teams had their choice between the Pelicans pick and the Lakers pick, most would choose the Lakers pick. Still, point taken that the Pelicans pick is one of the best draft picks on the trade market.
Interesting article- I never considered the impact of shorter player contracts on things like playbooks and coaching schemes.
The dude makes $5m specifically so his contract is more tradable. I would hope they were upfront about this when he signed.
