Damn shame Bobcats won. Warriors and Hornets tied 110 with 35 secs left. Memphis and Chicago tied with 2 mins left.
Know the feeling - but it helps when you have 2 teams. Especially if one is good and one is bad. Get to cheer for playoff team and for lottery.
Bulls/Grizzlies was wild and great. Bulls had no business hanging with them without Deng. Too bad they couldn't pull it out. Nate has to learn to play under more control. He doesn't fit there.
NBATV has the Clips-Wizards game on right now (for how long, I don't know). Wiz hanging around too ... 52-50 Clippers, 7:30 left in the third quarter.
Fortunately they lost... Rockets needed that. Not that we're one to talk, but Portland has lost 5 straight. I could see them start to slip also. I don't like looking at the standings right now, though. I think you can probably cross off Minnesota, but we're still going to see a Lakers charge, and possibly Dallas as well.
A couple of weeks ago, I flowed with the crowd and got my hopes up the Lakers might miss the playoffs. But, like every season, the dog days of January are an ice bath to pretenders with hot starts. The Rockets and Blazers are falling like stones. The Jazz will probably fade too and I still don't trust the Warriors even if Steph Curry stays mostly healthy. I believe the top 5 teams in the West are locked (OKC, LAC, SAS, MEM, DEN). If the Warriors hold their end of the bargain, Mavs and Lakers could end up battling for 7th & 8th place.
Exactly how I feel, though I'm not sure on if Utah will fade... they still have played significantly more road games (24) than home (17) and that's a franchise that has feasted on home games. Rockets are 7-16 against the West and 1-10 against the West on the road (lone win was that Harden-fueled comeback in Minnesota).
Nevertheless, John Wall has looked great since he returned. Composed, more playmaking, much better defense, and opportunistic scoring. Hopefully, he can use the rest of this season and offseason to develop and blow up next year. Too much talent.
I don't get how he hasn't gotten fined yet once this season. Oh yeah... double standards in the NBA. Forgot about that.
