The teams that consistently make it to the conference finals and championship have 5 legit players that start for their teams and bench players that can start for other teams.

I think we all agreed that starters are needed at the pg and pf spots. This is the only way to accelerate our championship potential.

I like Chuck, Rafer, and Snyder as bench players. We can stay in the game with them playing as backups.

If we need to trade Juwan, Head, Sura's Contract, Tsaklidas, Novak (too slow and no d for todays NBA), Vspan, etc. to land a proven pg and pf let's make it happen (Morey).

Not until the Rockets undo the damage caused by Gundy and his crew

Like Will said a few weeks ago...

The "2 superstar" model is not the way to win a Championship. T-Mac is no Kobe/DWade and Yao is no Shaq in his prime.

I think this year was our do-or-die year. Everything was set up perfectly. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see us winning a championship any time soon until some MAJOR changes take place.

I couldn't vote because of the current roster...
We are in the twilight zone right now... no PF and no PG and no SG

Just depends on how fast we can bring some young facet to our team.

I like the thought of the rockets being Yao and Tmacs team, but with a steve-cuttino-young hungry fearless team vibe.

They live for each other and win with each other.....how buddhist of my fanaticism.

Don't expect that the Rockets will have the depth or talent untill they are willing to trade Yao or Tracy or Battier, at least two out of the three! :p

    Next year, no doubt.

If you disagree, you just don't know what you are talking about.

I don't see it happening with Yao/Tmac combo. Just not enough talent, and our superstars aren't even that good (especially Yao). Hopefully we can add talent and get past the 1st round. I would be happy with that.

If I recall correctly, all NBA champs in the previous year always at least passed the first round. So if that's the case, we got some work to do if we want it next year. BELIEVE!

I'm an optimist. I always think the Rox will win the next title.

    With this team...NEVER

Ask the same poll before the season starts after we add the "few key pieces" that Morey says.

    we need to Trade Tmac...

    our so called leader...

he is a great regular season player...when nothings on the line except win or loss...

but come playoffs he will be 0-for 7 next year... because he chokes under pressure....

just dont get Dirk...or Arenas... they are chokers as well...

Next year, of course. With the talent that they have, I have to believe it. It's not like I'm watching to see some young rebuilding squad develop.

When we get a good deal more talent, a bench, superstars with fire who are durable, and are able to beat the Spurs, Suns, and Mavs with regularity. May take awhile.
