I'm in need of a wallet. For the longest time I've just been carrying my cards and cash loose in my back pocket. Just an accident waiting to happen. Really looking for something made from quality leather, bifold and not too bulky. Any suggestions? I'm really considering the Bellroy Hide and Seek. Link
I have one of them bill folds which only houses maybe my bank debit card, a good credit card, license, and a few of my business cards. It also has a money clip. It is extremely convenient. I used to be a "wallet" kind of guy, but I think my butt feels a lot better from its departure.
You need to get a hold of GanjaRocket! He has some real nice Mont Blanc Meisterstuck wallets for sale.... ....... ....... .......
That looks like a good wallet. I've started using a Mighty Wallet recently: https://www.dynomighty.com/shop/Airmail-Mighty-Wallet. Working fine so far, except it's a little slippery. Maybe it becomes less slippery as it ages.
http://www.stewartstand.com/collections/men I have the black leather "drivers wallet". Super thin. Metal fabric. Doesn't absorb swamp ass. Blocks RFID scanners. I've had it for probably 7-8 years now. Fantastic product.
I have a Tumi wallet with a money clip in it. Best of both worlds for me. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0058ZAWPU/ref=aw_cr_item_title?vs=1 That's similar, but not the exact one I have. Mine is about 6 years old and is holding up well. You can tell it's been used a lot but no tears or anything.
He doesn't even need wallets anymore...it's all bitcoins. I'm considering changing my wallet as well. It's very nice and I've used the same brand/type for a long time but it is a little on the bulky side...especially with my bad George like habit if storing everything in there. Someone gave me a paper wallet a while back and I've liked it. I use to only use it when I traveled but i've been keeping it as my daily wallet for the last couple weeks just. https://www.dynomighty.com/ Even though I only use it sporadically, it seems to hold up fairly well. Although I can imagine needing to replace it on an annual basis with everyday use.
This is mine. I don't even know Joseph Abboud: https://yugster-production.s3.amazo...e/image/10759/joseph_abboud_clip_wallet_2.jpg .
Pretty cool - what do these products feel like? Are they hard like you'd expect or does the metal weave make it a little more fabric-like?
I have this and it has changed my life. So much better than a full wallet: http://www.lichfieldleather.com/col...s/products/5307-38-leather-travel-pass-holder
I don't even use a wallet anymore. I mean, I have one, but take what I need out usually when I go out, which is my ID and cash. It's just not very comfortable having it with me.
How could this not be comfortable?
I bought one of these (the leather hybrid bi-fold model) about ten months ago. One of the best purchases I have ever made. There are plenty of times I have to check whether I remembered to bring my wallet. I did reduce the number of credit cards I carry, but I still easily carry ten cards (including my license and insurance card). I no longer feel like I am sitting on a brick and to be honest it even looks nice enough (outside lather... the inside is nylon). All for less than $30. If/once it wears out I will buy another.
The leather is nice and high quality. The metal fabric feels like... ummm... metal paper? I dunno, it's a very unique thing. It has the texture of metal (think brushed nickel), but behaves like a fabric.
I prefer the front pocket wallet like Swoly-D described...if you only need to carry around up to five or six cards (I guess how many you can fit depends on the wallet you get). Mine is a Tumi wallet and it seems to have held up quite well after 5 months of use or so.
About 10 years ago I bought an expensive Italian leather wallet from a leather maker in Florence called Pierotucci - it was around $100. Immediately I felt stupid for spending so much on a wallet. Ten years on, it is one of the best purchases I've ever made. The wallet is solid as hell, hand stitched, and will probably last me another 10-15 years at least. You get what you pay for.
