Are you kidding me? Time and time again, NBA great Mark Jackson has failed in his quest for a head coaching job. But it seems he has a good chance this time. JVG will miss him. I think.

My prayers might get answered. I hate his commentary and would rather listen to a screeching owl all broadcast.

    Good. Get him off TV.

"______ is a knock down shooter"

    "______ is a willing PASSER"

Yeah, along with the infamous "mama there goes that man" I can do without all his robotic commentary.

For whatever reason I just don't think the guy has what it takes to coach. He will be in over his head. Just have that feeling... Elie on the other hand... give that guy a chance already!

If Jackson or Elie gets it, he'll be alright. Both he and the Wolves know they are years away from being contenders. It could workout for either one. I think the best situation for a new/young coach is a young team with no direction because there's no pressure. He's not be asked to replace Phil, Pop, Mike Brown, RA, etc. Elie would be my choice as he's been an assistant for a few years.

I expect Mark Jackson has what it takes to be an NBA head coach. However, what I find problematic is that it appears he's only interested in a head coaching job if that means he doesn't have to begin at a lower position and work his way up. If he and Kenny Smith (whose name comes up semi-regularly for possible head-coaching positions) really wanted to be NBA head coaches, why are they doing TV studio work or color commentary during the NBA season instead of applying for a position on a team's staff and acquiring NBA in-game coaching experience like nearly every other head coach in this league (with few exceptions)?

They may know the game of basketball very, very well (and being point guards would surely be advantageous), but to just leap into a head position with such little coaching experience (at least at the NBA or NCAA level) seems presumptuous.

Why in the F would you want Mark Jackson as a head coach? Wolves should try and get Avery Johnson instead or Elie as others suggested.

This guy is lazy bum. He talks about being disappointed he didn't get the Knicks job. How about being an assistant coach first? He doesn't want to put in the hours so he went into brodcasting.

I don't care about the Wolves. The good thing is getting Jackson of the air. But then, JVG will have nobody to diss. That'll lose a lot of fun. :D
