That franchise does not deserve Durant and Westbrook. They had an offseason to improve their surroundings but did nothing. They will always be a borderline contending team but never really there. Durant would be smart to move. Come to Houston.

    Tank? Are you kidding me?

This team will still win it's share at home and with Durant and Westbook healthy in the playoffs even as an 8th seed would be deadly.

Westbrook out 4-6 weeks according to OKC beat writer Darnell Mayberry.

They are eligible for hardship exception that will allow them to exceed 15 players on the roster to 17, but are still subject to the cap. Mayberry doesn't believe they'll sign anyone as they are so close to the tax and Jackson should be back soon.

Hate to see stars get hurt for a significant amount of time but this really helps the Rockets in the long run......who knows Reggie Jackson coming out party?

Brutal. I think OKC fans are going to need to lower their expectations to 5-8 seed with the possibility of missing the play offs.

Unfortunately for them, the more players that are injured the more stress and strain on the remaining players which increases fatigue and likelihood of additional injuries. It's like healing from an injured leg, you put more stress on the good leg and increase the probability of additional injury.

Depending on how long this lasts, OKC could conceivably find themselves on an injury treadmill that takes them right out of the play offs.

Perry Jones about to show the world he's on Durant's level.

Mawrey missed the opportunity to draft the next superstar.

I heard the timetable was 4-6 weeks.

Bad Luck Thunder. Reminds me of those Rockets team from 2005-2008 that couldn't stay healthy.

If they get 10 games below .500 when Durant and Westbrook get back and it's like mid December, do you think they should just tank ala the Spurs in the Duncan draft?

10 games below .500 is a tall task to get back into the playoff hunt especially in the West. The Thunder have the talent to do it but even if they get back in the playoff hunt, they probably only get a 7-8 seed and would have to face the Clippers/Spurs in the first round. Durant and Westbrook might not like it but if they suck the rest of the way a nab a top 5-10 pick, they could have a dynasty if they pick right; something Presti is really good at.

Great job. Got to love that Perkins fella

He is the single biggest contributor to the opposition team game after game. Even off the bench, his impact is huge.

And OKC traded away Harden instead of amnestying this stiff. HAHHAHA. I ain't complaining though.

okc is in big trouble for the next month or so. besides ibaka there's no one on that team that can score consistently and is able to handle playing as a full time starter.

if they dig themselves in a hole for the first 20-25 games, they're gonna have to go on a pretty big streak to hit 50 wins to get in the playoffs

They should have gotten rid of Perkins. Now he injures his own teammate :-(

Y'all ready for OKC as an 8 seed? I wouldn't want to be that one seed facing them.

He dribbles too much. Those hands can only take so much.
