LOS ANGELES -- Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook exited Thursday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers with an injured right hand with 6:35 left in the second quarter and will not return, the Thunder said.

Russell Westbrook exited with an injured right hand Thursday against the Clippers.

Westbrook had X-rays taken at Staples Center and was set to be re-evaluated Friday. GM Sam Presti said the team would have more information then.

Westbrook returned to the Thunder bench in the third quarter, still in uniform but with a bag of ice wrapped around his hand, then left for the locker room again at the end of the quarter.

As Westbrook was walking back to the locker room after the injury, he had to be restrained from a heckling fan yelling at him from above the tunnel.

Westbrook appeared to injure his right hand while going up for a rebound and hitting Kendrick Perkins' elbow. After the play, Westbrook grimaced and looked down at his right hand as he tried to make a fist.

Without Westbrook, the Thunder, already playing without the injured Kevin Durant, Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb, are left with eight available players.

Can we at least be above OKC in the power rankings now?

Somewhere a Thunder fan is still arguing that they won the Harden trade.

Con: Obviously, No Servant / WB. Scoring is going to be a problem.

Pro: Someone HAS to step up. Ibaka / PJIII / Adams / Jackson, somebody.

I think it may be good for OKC. Maybe some of their role players develop (like Perry did tonight) and make them better when WB/KD return.

Most minor undisplaced metacarpal fractures, managed with appropriate immobilisation and physiotherapy, can recover and return to sport or full activities in approximately 6 -12 weeks (a protective splint may be required). In more severe cases, particularly those patients with displaced fractures, injuries to other structures or those fractures requiring surgery or anatomical reduction, recovery may take greater than 12 weeks, with a greater period of rehabilitation and physiotherapy. It is important to note however that the fracture may take many months to regain full bony strength.

not wishing an injury to anyone but hopefully durant will realize you need more then one star and comes to Houston, if they continue performing like this and disappointing postseason.

Damn OKC can't catch a break. They still can be at full health within a couple of months though, and they will make a run.

they're going to need to make a long run just to make the playoffs, they could very well be 2-16 by the time durant returns

Man, the way the Thunder are built this could have drastic effects. Might even be worth tanking if, say, they lose the next 10 games. Do they own their own pick this summer?

Really sucks, I thought they had a shot at the ring this year. Clippers must be stoked.

Hmm so is Presti still the Golden Child? How many top picks has he had by now? Any is this guy still getting so much rep while Morey gets so much crap despite not having one top 5 pick when he started out?
