If Brian Hoyer passes concussion protocol he will become available to play again. If that happens would you start Hoyer or stick with Weeden the rest of the way? I don't think Hoyer has been ruled out yet for next week at Ten.

Well of course Hoyer if healthy.

    He has a 93 qbrating this year. 60% completion. 18/6 TD-INT. 7.16 y/a.

Weedens career qbrating is 75 with 29 TDs and 30 INTs.

I would like it to be Hoyer for the Texans, but I also fear for his well-being. Having two concussions in a month is no joke. If it was up to Will Smith, Hoyer would not play football again.

Dumb poll, with all due respect.

Hoyer is tons better than Weeden, which doesn't say much.

This is true to everyone here except Bobby, of course.

Hoyer because he was able to learn under the tutelage of one of the greatest QBs of all time.

Yeah but the majority of posters here were clamoring for TJ Yates to start last week over Hoyer, and I don't see much of a difference between yates and weeden, to be honest.

I don't either. Yates is more mobile I guess

That's because, unfortunately, some of the more knowledgeable posters have been scared away by boisterous new guys, who seem to know little.

The biggest thing against Hoyer for me is that he just doesn't utilize the best play maker the team has on offense in Hopkins. Because of that, the team I feel is more limited under Hoyer. Weeden, Yates, and the rest of the stop gaps that have played under this coaching regime are not the answer either but they have all appeared to utilize the team's best play maker better then Hoyer. This team has no chance at doing anything unless they utilize Hopkins and I just don't think Hoyer does this well enough or is too scared to do so because of his noodle arm. Hopkins doesn't have blazing speed so he doesn't get as open as the other top flight WRs but he has the best hands in the league. It appears Hoyer because of his weak arm doesn't trust throwing it to Hopkins and allowing him to make the catch like the other QBs do.

The QBs don't seem to utilize their weapons at all.
If one uses the TEs .. . that seems to be his only targets
and vice versa with the WRs

They don't spread the ball around enough.

the hesitation I see in them . . is the difference between a BackUp and a starter

Hoyer loves Nate, TJ loves Hop, and Brandon loves Strong?

Now that Yates is gone and if Hoyer is able to go, you go with Hoyer.

Good point. The team is going to be limited in some capacity no matter who the have at QB at this point because the team just doesn't have a starting caliber QB on the roster. If it comes down to making a choice moving forward for this year though, I would pick the QB who can better utilize the best weapon on the team. Haven't seen enough of Weeden to make too much of a determination yet but Hoyer just doesn't utilize Hopkins well enough, especially in recent games. Weeden should get the start Sunday and then maybe the staff can have a better idea of where to go after that game.

Hoyer spread the ball more. Yates pretty much locked in on Hopkins.

And Nate has been getting open deep, but Hoyer keeps under throwing him
