Just speculation at this point as the playoffs are about start, but who would be the bigger disappointment: the Warriors with the incredible historical season they are having or the Cavs who would be wasting another year of Lebron's prime?

I think Lebron not getting another ring would be more significant as it may lead to major changes in Cleveland with the possible departure of Kevin Love this offseason.

The Warriors losing early in the playoffs would be a major disappointment for fans of the game as they are perhaps the most entertaining team in the league. However, it would simply be another 60+ win team to exit the playoffs early much like the Suns or Mavs from the mid 2000s.

I think the Cavs make the Finals easily. No competition in the East. I dont think the Hawks are that good.

Warriors no doubt. From the East its either the Cavs or the Bulls imo. I think Spurs Cavs in the finals w/ Spurs winning it all

0 chance Cavs lose before the ECF but GSW could def lose in the 2nd round

Warriors. It'll be reminiscent of Dirk's MVP year

    Warriors unquestionably.

Not only will the media be utterly devastated, but since they're considered a historically good team, they'd be much more disappointing.

Also, the Warriors core will not look the same next year. Apart from Love, much of the Cavs will remain together.

It would be the Cavs because they have no competition.

Who cares. Both are way in their heads. The Cavs has cupcakes to take care of in the East including the Hawks. OTOH, it is not going to be a surprise if the Warriors loses to the Spurs, Griz, clippers or us in the West. So the vote goes to the Cavs for screwing up badly if that happens.

Lol, this. Media has been poking at the Cavs all season for not dominating like they should, hinting at dysfunction holding them back. So, if the Cavs go out, we'll get a bunch of I-told-you-so's from the doubters. The Warriors' story is all splash brothers and harmony, so all the analysts are going to have to think of something to cope with an early exit for them.

LeBron should be expected to at least make the conference finals every year. Losing in the first round in the west doesnt exactly mean your a bad team

That statement shows why, IMO, the bigger disappointment would be CLE getting eliminated early. Many people expected GS to have an improving record from last season to this year (but not historically good like they had this season).

But in CLE, the moment LBJ returned the narrative became "Championship or Bust"; and on top of that, getting Kevin Love and their other trades during the season only upped the pressure to win it all this season. Adding the fact they do play in the East, gives them even less of an excuse if they don't make it to the Finals (as good as ATL has been this season, many people, myself included, believe that CLE would beat them in the ECF).

And with that said, there is "no shame" if GS were to not come out the West. As we've all mentioned this season, the West has been as tough as ever and looks to be even tougher next season. It wouldn't be surprising at all if GS doesn't make it out of the "Murderer's Row" that is the Western Conference playoffs.

Warriors are expected to make the Finals. Cavs were put together just this season.

If the Rockets don't meet them in the Western Conference Finals (who I'd root for), I'd put money on Golden State to win it all.

Every year Lebron made the playoffs he hasn't lost in the 1st round.

Cavs because it is the East. If they even lose in the 2nd round it would be a huge upset.

If the Warriors lost to a team like the Spurs or even Clippers/Rockets in the 2nd round it would be less ridiculous.

losing early in the EC due to anything short of lebron being injured (and maybe even then...) would be by far the worst
