we already lost bev whose defense would've been a big factor against the west's stacked pgs. pgs are gonna torch us now being guarded by two pgs at the end of their career.

we had the best pf/c rotatin in the league, that would've made up for bev out of the playoffs. smith or jones could play some sf too if their 3pt shooting stays. since its the playoffs we can jsut run a 3 man rotation at the 4/5.

one of the main reasons this team is a contender was depth. now we have average depth. thats gonna hurt us. still not too late start brewer and let kostas get some chemistry going in the last games left.

Not only that because the Rox are yet UNDERSIZED again. The twin towers from other teams will go over the top every chance they get.

this should be obvious anyway. rockets have been injury prone all season and have been a top 3 seed in the stacked west. w/o all that depth rockets would've been a bottom seed team

    You lose the flexibility.

With DMo, you could've chosen either DMo stretching 4 to open up more lane space for Harden driving to the hoop or DMo posting up to mix up the looks.

Without DMo, now the Rockets is stuck with TJones. I'm not saying TJones is not good. But you just have no choice anymore. Remember last year in the playoffs when McHale chose to stick with TJones for the first two games vs Portland?

The Rockets have no choice anymore. Dorsey is only a "hack-a" material. That's sad.

Its probably caused by the fact we lost our only low post threat. The game slows down in the playoffs. Having a low post option is crucial.

He was very effective at his normal 4 spot as soon as Howard came back. That will be missed. Hope he will be healthy for the next season.

As long as Dwight Howard stays out of foul trouble, the minutes split between him, Smith and Jones would have left Dmo with the same 10 MPG that Capela is currently playing. Dmo was a huge part of keeping the Rockets afloat while Dwight and Jones were injured, and while Smith was still finding a way to fit in. But now that all of them are back, Dmo would have been a luxury rather than necessity.

You have a point but he certainly would have played more last night after TJones was hit in the face twice and was really out of it for a while.

Yep, good call initially on the rotations but in the playoffs it is about match ups and having more options/luxuries can make the difference in a series. Things are looking great, now we just need to take care of business in Dallas so we can have more time to prepare for round 2

Trade either Dmo or Jones for a good PG, and Rockets is set.
Terry can't try to hold off Parker, Kyrie, CP3.

During those 10 minutes, though, we'd have an inside presence who can create his own shot. I love Capela, but his offensive game depends entirely on good assists from others.

That rim protection with Capela is nice to have.

He also provides an adequate Roll on the PNR.

Who cares?! none of this stuff is relevant until next season, Dmo,Jones, and Capela will all improve next year,...maybe making Smith moot...or their could be injures etc.lets just enjoy this team and stop trying to get rid of everyone

Capela/DMO/Jones/JSmith <--- one of these will have to pick up back up center minutes

    Most likely Capela

I think next year .. . Jones may get a few minutes at SF
and DMo a few at C
I'm talking less than 5 minutes a game

cause we need to get them on the floor
