Yes the Knicks were sorry this year, but don't think that is going to limit free agent's intrigue or Phil Jackson's checkbook. I see this as a hot spot for Dragic.

I don't think signing a max deal FA is in the best interests of the Knicks. They'll need 3 starters with perhaps 10M to sign them after signing someone like LMA or Monroe, not a lot to sign 3 starters with. Probably a better strategy to use that 26M and spread it around on guys like Danny Green, Wes Matthews and Demarre Carroll.

    Good Plan.

Is draymond a PF or an SF?

If they could get Boogie and Draymon >>>>>> MELO
I'd trade the isht out of Melo

The Knicks are probably going to land a big FA superstar. They're a class organization, they deserve it.

I could definitely see that, although if they have the cap space for Marc Gasol or something, I could see them just signing him instead. Wouldn't be surprised if they offer a max to him or Monroe.

I thought they had next to no money and next to no picks...

Not as bad as Brooklyn. Knicks 2016 pick is either going to Toronto or Denver (with the worse pick going to Toronto, Denver has the right to switch). They've traded every second rounder from now to 2019 (we get their second rounder this year and in 2016)
