A few days ago there was a small bump on the back of my neck, and I was thinking it was a bite from something. 2 days later it has grown a little bit and it freaking hurts. I fear it is something serious but im hoping it is not. my cousin says 90% of the time its nothing. but he also said if it is still there a week later i should get checked up. Have you guys had some strange bump on your neck before? I am scared **** less right now....

It could be a cyst.. you should get it checked and he might prescribe you some antibiotic.. a friend of mine had the same issue before.. or it could be a big pimple lol
Back in high school, a friend of mine had something whack like that grow on the side of his neck while we were at the beach. It was growing noticeably day by day to the point that it was the size of a ping pong ball. We were all giving him a hard time about it but it was pretty freaky. Ultimately, he went to see a doctor several days later and it turned out to be somthing harmless despite the fact that it looked like an alien was growing out of his neck.
Sounds like you're relatively young, so I'm dubious that it's cancer. However, you should still seek the advice of a medical professional. Even if it's abnormal benign, removing it may still be a desired option.
My online WebMD degree says botfly infestation. Usually cured with uploading a video of its removal on youtubes.

You're totally dying. You should go on a crime spree and have seks with a bunch of hawt chicks. In all seriousness, I had a bump on my forearm earlier this week. It just appeared, got bigger and hurt a bit, and has since gone away. Follow your cousin's advice.
Is it under the skin? When I was 16 I also had a lump on the back of my neck, but it was under the skin. Turns out I just had an ear infection and the lump was an inflamed lymph node.
