Pretty weak opening weekend. Not a lot of high-end games. Still just glad to have football back, though. War Eagle.
It's weak in the sense that there is no marquee matchup between ranked teams. I would say it's pretty good overall for the non-conference. A lot of the pairings, however, are between major conference teams (e.g, ASU vs A&M, ND vs UT).
Great slate of games: Mich @ Utah ASU vs A&M in Houston TCU @ Minny UT @ ND Bama vs Wisky in Dallas L'ville vs Auburn Ohio St @ Va Tech
Most of the early games (week 1-3) are usually out of conference games though, right? I think you'd usually see (1)whoever vs some really small team in idaho or something. I'm ready to see inter-conference play.
How many "Real" TCU fans do we have here, people who bleed purple? We know Uprising must have had dreams last night of Boykin. U ready Uprising?
SC over UNC. 2 bad redzone INTs for UNC. Out of sight, out of mind: FIU upsets UCF. Central Michigan hanging tough with Oklahoma State.
FIU was a 14 pt underdog in that game. I wish I had bet more on them. Going into the game, UCF had no receivers with over 140yrds and completely new secondary. That said, it was 14-3 in the 2nd quarter with UCF converting a 3rd down play down to the FIU 10. But....there was a holding call and FIU survives the half. So it could have easily gotten out of hand for FIU, which is the master of losing close games to good teams. UCF isn't good though, so whew. On the losing side for my bet's, it's currently Vandy 3, WKU 0 in the 3rd quarter and the over/under is 63, and what side of that total do I have, lol. This is stunningly low scoring game. Edit: And Vandy throws a 2nd INT into the endzone...on 4th and goal from the 1, lolol.
I thought some people picked Minnesota to win their division in the Big 10? Regardless, the west division of the Big 10 looks like a straight dumpster fire.
LOL. Definitely was ready. Game is closer than it should be, but let's see if TCU truly blows this one open in the 2nd half.
