I will just come out and say it. if the dragon keeps putting up numbers like this, he should be the starter hands down!

Here are the stats: *starting only

    K. Lowry: GS 38--MPG 35.4--PPG 15.9--RPG 5.3--APG 7.2--SPG 1.8--
    Dbl/Dbl 4 * +1 triple-double

    G. Dragic: GS 12--MPG 36.9 PPG 16.4--RPG 3.7--APG 9.5--SPG 1.8--Dbl/Dbl 5 *+1 as a backup

I like Lowry, but so far Dragic's numbers have been slightly better...the most astounding stat to me is 5 double doubles in only 12 games as the starter!....I know it is still early but it looks like Gogie is going to have his chance to prove me right. (just stay healthy!)

feel free to add any pertinent stats!

That sample size is too small to make this assumption. Goran also doesnt match up to star PG like Kyle does defensively...

Dragic is an amazing PG, but I feel he should still come off the bench behind Lowry.

He could EASILY start for another team, though.

No point arguing who starts, Lowry may not ever start over Dragic again.

I don't know why rox fans keep giving credits for lowry so much on defense.
to me, he seems like he fell back from last year.

wouldn't dragic be a better matchup against PG since he's 6'3?

We arent going anywhere with Dragic as our starting PG, Dragic would excel on the Nets once Dwill leaves or Raptors

Would Goran's average stay the same if he had a capable backup like Kyle?

Goran is definitely not a better defender than Lowry.

He's a much, much better finisher at the rim, though, which means he doesn't have to rely on his jumper as much as Lowry. That can be a really good thing for the starting lineup.

I don't know where I stand as far as Dragic or Lowry starting but that is unfair to add that to the equation.

When Lowry was starting he had Dragic and Lee coming off of the bench.
With Dragic starting he has Moe, Larry and Curly coming off fo the bench.

    No he isnt

When Lowry is right, he is the best defender in the league among PG's. Last year their was a metric stat that proved it

This is a lockout shortened season, so its benefiting a lot of players who usually dont play as much, or have not played as much in the past

the players that have played a lot in the past are being worn down. ( Rose, Zack Randolph, Chauncey Billups, Lowry, Kevin Martin, Nowitizi, Kidd and others)

If Dragic can play at the level he is playing at next year on another team, in a full season, then i will be impressed

Even Lebron, and Wade look worn-down a bit

Before the season everybody said that this 66-game season would benefit younger players, or players who have rarely played in the past. And that is starting to prove true

The Mavs looked insanely old tonight, and we still got blown out. The league as whole is down this year, so whenever guys like Dragic and some of the other players who have rarely played in the past are doing above the norm( i take it with a grain of salt)

Dragic is 6'3", with long arms and does a much better job at contesting shots than Lowry. Lowry works hard, and moves is feet well, but at the end the day opposing point guard's have no problem shooting over him. Dragic was the one that slowed down Tony Parker when we played the Spurs.

Deceiving, we play better team when Dragic is our starter. We were playing tanking teams when Lowry was playing. 1st half had a soft schedule with a lot of home games, 2nd half, much tougher with lots of road games in a row. 16 games left. The next 5 games will determine our fate with Mem, Ind, Chi, LAL and Sac.

BS Tony Parker and the Spurs as a whole was not healthy that series.

If Dragic as good as you say, why would the Suns trade him away to confernce rival

He's not a better defender than Lowry

Dragic is a throw-in in any trade as proven before the season in the CP3-Gasol( trade failure)

Lowry gets Pau Gasol by himself and some matching salaries

The Nets, Raptors, and we just almost lost to the Kings at HOME... if not for a lucky shot by Patterson in the final seconds

The fact remains.. we have a losing record with Dragic and a winning one with Lowry
