Dirk took a paycut for NBA superstar Chandler Parsons to carry them to a 10th seed every year. :grin: They're probably trying to go all in for Wes and DJ.
The Mavs wanted to keep maximum cap room for LMA and DJ. They couldn't do that if they had to match Ellis. Ellis also didn't express any desire to stay there. I feel that this is a significant set back for the Mavs. He was their second best scorer, and could create his own shot.
I agree. Especially with the PG situation still unresolved. Even if they get Jordan, they're still in trouble.
Indiana looks pretty solid again. They just have to figure out what to do at the 4 now that west is out. not sure he would have made the same decision if he knew Indy was going to sign Ellis
Compared to what other free agents are getting this summer, this seems like a very reasonable contract.
