I expected this with Ben Jones being here. Myers was part of one of the best offensive line units in 2010 and 2011. Could see him ending up in Green Bay maybe

Very good player in Kubiak's Zone Blocking System, but just doesn't fit in the new system we're running under BOB. Wish him the best of luck, maybe he reunites with Kubes in Denver?
I don't like it when teams have OL turnover. It usually means bad things. I hope BOB is right on this one... I'm sure Myers will get a job quick. Good luck to him.
XSF should be the real concern as he'll be taking over Jones' spot. The only "encouraging" thing about him is that he still got playing time as the season went on, but he never took over the position. BOB said that perhaps they tried moving him around too much, so maybe things look better when he goes to OTA's and training camp with one position in mind. Jones should be able to take over the C spot... if anything, his time at G probably makes it more of a smooth transition.
Sorry, this was posted earlier in the off-season moves thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=9598643&postcount=824
Everyone should be encouraged about the OL going into next year. XSF got a year to sit, learn, and grow. That's a luxury in today's NFL. Jones and Brooks are solid pros now. Brown can get back to pro bowl form. The only question is RT, which should be addressed via the draft or QBerry's return. Plus if worse comes to worse, you have a serviceable Tyson Clabo to platoon in. The OL is really shaping up to be a strength of this squad.
Are they letting go of Newton for sure? I know he looked alright to start last season, and then showed signs of regression (but was overall improved from 2013). Not sure Brown will get back to being "elite"... he may have benefited more than we thought from PED's, and I suspect he's due for some nagging injuries. He's still better than average, and there's no replacement for him on the horizon yet.
Newton has all the trappings of a contract year warrior. I have faith in Brown. If DQ can come in gangbusters and win the spot by years end I will be a happy man.
I think everyone appreciates his time with the team and appreciate him for being a good person and even more so they appreciate the 6 million dollars the Texans are saving by cutting him. There's not a shortage of Chris Meyers appreciation.
Good player and even better person/family man. Loved the charity work he did for kids with cleft lips/palates.
