I have a feeling that Bobby Sura will help the Rockets get over the hump.

    Reasons.
    1. he can shoot
    2. he can dish
    3. he can run the floor
    4. he's not charlie ward
    5. he's not tyron lue
    6. he's not charlie ward
    7. he's not charlie ward

Why does Van Gundy always get players on the IR?
    Remember Adrian Griffin?
I dont think that dude ever played.

Im hope he is better than Ward. I'm guessing he is. I mean our PG situation is much worse now. I dont care how many turnovers Steve had last year. This dudes have no intimidation factor. There's a balance that's missing.

    Steve and Cuttino

    Tmac and scrub guard

    If it were me:

    PG Sura
    SG Tmac
    SF Boki
    PF Dikembe
    C Yao

Juwan and Mo and Clarence can't play D, so I start Mutumbo.

I joined this bbs on 1999, at that time I was 13, but I'm more mature now.

my god, i just realized our PG guards got taken to school by SKIP TO MY LOU : Rafer Alston

Maybe we can trade Juwan/Ward/Lue for The Professor and Hot Sauce.

    What are you talking about?
Sura gave us just what we needed last night, an 3 pt specialist to open the lane for our star C and SG.

    Check out his line: 28 min, 6-8 FG, 3-5 3pt, 3as, 3reb, 3st, 1to

Oh wait, sorry, that was Damon Jones. With Shaq playing Yao-like minutes, 21.

Well, at least Sura is cheaper... uhh, wait. Sura got less years? Sura is younger? Sura had no major injury history? Sura's from Houston? Sura begged to be a Rocket? Sura's a superior 3pt shooter? Hmm... maybe we lost that Van Gundy coin toss in the offseason.

I can see the midseason billboard's now: Houston, SURA'S COMING.

Having watched Sura with the Warriors. I can tell you Sura isn't a PG. He's more SG than PG.

For the record, I think our team will be just fine, we'll win 45+ and make the playoffs easily on the strength of Yao and TMac + a very average (that's generous) supporting cast.

IMO, we made a offseason choice to go with defense and hustle on the perimeter (Ward, Sura, Bowen) when we need shooting, Shooting, SHOOTING. And I mean good, consistent shooters you must guard even when they aren't hitting (Eddie J, where are you?).

And no, TMac doesn't count, unless you can order me 3 of him.

It will be a bruising year in the lane for Yao and TMac.

More excuses? What makes you think Sura is going to help that much? He won't be back for a while and when he does, he is going to take a lot of time to get back where he was.

Look at Pike and A. Griffin, they could never get back into the groove from their injury, expect the same from Sura.
