    This college freshmen on Jeopardy (oops...meant Wheel of Fortune...lol) had every letter on the board and all this loot from spinning the wheel. The answer...a character...was:

    Mythological Hero Achilles

    The contestant says the first two words right and then said "A chill eez".

    Alex..."we can't accept that!". Poor guy. LOL

    Ex: To me, the accepted American pronunciation sounds wrong. My ear says Achilles = A ghee (like a hard "he") lay ass

    I took a Mythology course over at UT @ Austin.

    I was glad to forget a lot of that poppycock. Just a lot of detail I had a hard time holding interest in.
