As excited as I was at the time it happened...The only word I can think of that describes this now is...

    'Meh'

Scola is a true competitor, its sad his wasting his prime on a rebuilding team...

We should trade this guy to a contender, or a team that can become a contender pretty soon, so he can have a legitimate shot at playing for a championship..

    IMO

Adleman drew up a fantastic play and they executed it to perfection.

AB's pass is being overlooked here, after seeing it a few times, if that was thrown .5 inch to the left or right, it probably would've been deflected

It was a well designed play by coach. I think most people were expecting the Rockets to take a three. (I was) The Laker bigs were Guilty of watching the ball and were caught out of position. Good movement and perfect pass by Brooks made it happen.

Good stuff. I'd still prefer to go for the win in that situation (on the road, first night of a back-to-back) but I'll never complain when I see design and execution on display like that.

I think she was probably ordering three steaks and a cheesecake to eat during the 5 minutes of overtime.

Gasol is on Spain's national team, they won a couple of gold medals at Olympics, Goodwill, and FIBA. But Scola has more individual accolades if it's any consolation.

That's not real! Look at the crowd in that frame... True, Staples finally started allowing fat people to sit in the lower bowl last season. But almost courtside? Without diamonds? Without sunglasses? No way!

At least make it believable. It's a Lakers crowd: you have to bedazzle something.

Spain never won the Olympic gold. no medal in 2004. Silver in 2008
FIBA Worlds, yes, once with Pau
And a Gold in the FIBA European tourny...the regional qualifier for Olympics/Worlds.

That said, I agree that it's unfair to compare Gasol to Scola (who has many more years playing Euroleague, plus National Team). Gasol won NBA ROY at age 21. Doesn't really have much Euroleague play like Scola does.
