Will Yao be voted into the All Star game this year?

    What do you think? Do you think he'll be voted into the All Star game even if he doesn't play? We all know how close Yi was to overtaking KG last season, Yao is 5x more popular than Yi in China so I think it's possible. Shaq is in another conference so Yao has to compete with Al Jefferson and that's about it, unless Bynum or Oden play a lot better.

    If Yao does make it on the ballot (I don't think he will), he could very well be an All-Star because of the cultural backing. That is real.

    i'm not sure the OP should be hated on for making this thread, it is a legit question....with all the chinese fans who usually vote, will they still write him in? It could happen..

    That's why I said it is a dumb thread because its obvious that he is going to make the all-star team just because of his cultural background. Look at the last time Yao was out for the season. He still made the All-Star team but was unable to play. It happens. Remember the fans vote.
