Maggard is pushing all the right buttons, just like at Miami. Not messing around and signing Art to 5 puts the recruits in the house. That disconnect between the AD and the oval office seems to finally be over. I
I think Art is a great guy and has helped recruiting. I just hope this recent stretch of well coached games continue because over most of his career at UH he has been below par when it came to halftime adjustments and in-game decisions. Good for Art and Go Coogs!
i don't want to start another thread, so i'll just put what i heard here. around 3.45 PM today, i heard on 790 that Jevan Snead [the back-up frosh QB from UT that decided to transfer] met with Briles today. apparently Snead still hasn't decided where he's gonna transfer. i haven't seen him all year, except for his lone pass/interception at the end of the Aggie post-thanksgiving win. how good is he? is he as good as Kolb, or better? UT always seems to get the best prospects at every position, so, if Kolb was as good as he was, you'd think Snead would flourish in the UH system.
Regarding the original thread, well deserved... I thought Snead already decided...Well, this is promising, as I'm not sure who's next...Kolb will be hard to match, but I'm looking forward to next year...
Briles is an offensive innovator...with enough Cougar ties to resist the call from bigger programs. Lets see what he can do with some athletes on D. Rivals.com says some are coming.
Aw man...I was hoping we would land Sneed. He's supposed to be really good. But the Briles contract is great, great news. I was really worried that he would jump ship -- there was no reason not to, frankly.
