This will turn things around. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/4263120.html So ends another giant texans waste.
Unbelievable. Like Dunta said, couldn't we have at least shopped him? If we get a 6th round pick, it's better than releasing him. Anyway, it seems like one of Casserly's decisions is getting cut every week. I guess one positive is that Faggins is coming back. Pretty bad when you're looking forward to an average player like Faggins coming back to save your secondary....
Could we have gotten anything in return for him? If so, this move isn't too smart either. The Texans management under Cass might've be the worst in all of sports. Well, maybe better than the Knicks, but that's not saying much.
The guy was a pretty good punt returner at least. Oh well. Not like it really matters at this point in the season. Are we entering tank mode already?
Why would another team give the Texans anything for this guy? He couldn't cover anyone and we were the only fools who traded the Raiders for him.
I was excited when we got him but thats about all the excitment he brought me. Good luck Phillip.. Jason babin you might be next.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Does that guy have a tackle this year? Sheesh, what a bum. Great 1st round draft pick, Casserly.
Yeah ... I can't even watch the CBS pre-game anymore because I can't stand the segment they have with him every week like he is some sort of guru or something.
I honestly think they should petition the league for another expansion draft... hell, plenty of teams would like to get rid of some veterans on their team in exchange for some good players (the package expansion deals)... would be a good deal, if we're allowed to keep 5 players (Mario, Spencer, DeMeco, AJ, Dunta). Its sad when you'd actually be IMPROVED by an expansion draft, + one solid draft. Right now, all we've got is this past year's draft of Mario, DeMeco, and Spencer/Winston... that is they type of draft they should have had in year 1, not in year 5. Thanks again Casserly... people will be seeing the effect of his regime on Houston for years... wouldn't suprise me if CBS canned him, let alone he never gets another GM job again.
