Hey guys, moves are starting to be made by some clubs in preparation for the upcoming season so let's get our new thread going. Here's to another amazing season of the beautiful game. Congratulations to the 2015/2016 Champions! Champions League- Real Madrid ( #11 ) Europa League- Sevilla (Sevilla's way.. get knocked off UCL and go onto win Europa) EPL- Leicester (What a ****ing story!!) La Liga- FC Barca (Almost ****ed it up) Serie A- Juve (That makes it 5 in a row) Bundesliga- FC Bayern Munchen ( No more Pep, right ATW & Yunt-T ) Ligue 1- PSG (Bu..bye Zlatan!!) Eredivisie- PSV (Repeat... Any cool stories here!?)
Will hopefully be a lot less b**ching from me and ATW now with Pep gone. Really excited for this season.
Always found it interesting that the top managers in England are rarely British. Then again the top teams barely have any English players any more either.
Sir Alex is British and he's a top manager. Dalglish and all those Liverpool managers in the 80's are British. Ever since the Premier League was formed in 1992, a British manager has won the league 14 out of 24 times. Think you mean "rarely English" as no English managers have ever won the Premier League.
Sure the Premier League was been won by a British manager 58% of the time, but only 25% of the Premier League winning managers have been British. Alex Ferguson greatly skews the first statistic. His greatness is what would classify in the rare category. Pre-Premier league was absolutely a dominance by English managers for the top flight though. It's certainly a recent trend of the foreign managers being prioritized for the top positions that are open.
Let us see what Mourinho will do. What is the latest on Mkikihiktariyan? Looks like bVB are holding firm
another hostage situation Hope he does not sulk and plays one fantastic last season if he stays. Like in a contract year.
Talks ongoing. Dortmund wants something close to £25m but I dunno where they're at with the numbers at the moment.
