Even more impressed by the Spurs and pop's system. If we had their coaching staff, I am certain rockets would be a 60+ win team and a true title contender.

The funny thing is how Kwame sh!tted on this guy (and said he lost tons of money this year) when he praised McHale, but now that he tweets something that Kwame agrees with, he's suddenly worthy of a thread? Nice flip-flopping.

so true. i think McHale's done a pretty good job, but i just don't think he's in the same league as guys like Pop, Thibodeau, Carlsisle.

Would be interesting to see what we an do with stud coach.

I like how there are no teams in the East for the top 15 hardest SOS.

They have the blueprint to win as team yet no one bothers to study it. Let's just look at stats and seen that the 3 ball and dunks are the best points.

I don't quite understand this. Theoretically, New Orleans would play the same teams we did except they would play the Rockets instead of themselves. What am I missing here?

you have to take in to account the # of road games vs. home games, back-to-backs, and the # of games played in a week. Those stats differ from team to team.

This might be true but the one aspect that we always don't seem to consider is that Pop, Duncan, Parker and Ginobli has been together for more than a decade. Their main 3 players serve as additional coaches in the court to teach the new players coming in and get them familiarized with the system.

Yea, you don't get that kind of tenure if you don't win consistently.

Not surprising. Rockets always seem to get screwed by scheduling. How many 4 games in 5 nights or 3 in 4 stretches did we have?

It was so much back to backs this season. I don't think no one in the NBA should play Denver on a back-to-back.

It seems like they always get the crappy schedule.

No, right now McHale isn't in the class of coaches with Pop, Thibs or Carslile.
However, I would point out that those are the top 10% of coaches in the NBA and they are not available. Who out there is better than McHale? Don't give me garbage like 70 year old George Karl or Adelman either.

You're right, Denver has a 51-11 record at home in the second half of back-to-backs against visiting teams. In the last decade.
