I could never envision playing Patterson at the 3. IMO he is a prototypical 4 with a body built like a tank.

Is anyone going to enjoy having Patrick and Chuck on this team more than me?

I like that he wants to start but realizes he has to work hard to get there. I'd love to be a fly on the wall listening to them talk trash while they practice. Not just Chuck and Patrick but all of them.

I really need a job in the NBA ;)

I believe this Rockets team will be fun to watch. A mixture of veterans and young guys who can play. A bench of Patterson, Lee, Lowry, Miller, JT, etc... can come in and not miss a beat. In fact, they may even increases leads for us because they will be playing against the other team's bench.

The starters will be under some pressure to produce, that's for sure.

The benefits of a stacked team are endless. Countless positional advantages and so forth, the only thing holding the bench back will be their relative inexperience... but with time and cohesion they can only improve.

    The future is bright.

I dont know if he has followed the Rockets enough in recent history to know that he will have a chance to prove himself and maybe even start because of injuries. He better be ready to be on the court playing solid minutes after Christmas. Lets just hope that Morey got it right with this guy.

I think he was a safe pick at #14 but he could be more than that. I see him as a very similar player to James Harden, not necessarily as a wing scorer, but where he is alot more athletic and dynamic than he looks. He is saying the right things right now about doing his part to help the team, and thats great, but maybe... just maybe he could be more than a role player. We shall see. Him and Jordan Hill could be the future front court for the Rockets for many years.

:) I don't envy the coaching staff the task of figuring out the minutes distribution, but I hope that they find time for Patrick to get some of them.

Thanks Clutch! Although it doesn't appear that Patterson will get too much playing time, I think he'll eventually be our starting 4 of the future.

Great Vid. Pat is really good in the interviews.

Clutch can you upload practice footage? Is practice action off limits to cameras?

Maybe he can work towards Artest type of wing man with a PF body and good defense.

There goes the myth that Adelman is an offense-only coach.

He sort of remind me of Artest out there with big strong body type. But i think he's bigger....so that's why he's play the 4. I think he can play the 3 too...
