no seriously, that's the actual title of the article...I'm hesitant to put it in the GARM because it's clearly about Lin's off court stuff as well. But, it is about his on court play as well...so LOFs (and other Rox fans :p) enjoy.

Article was hogwash, Lin was decent last year and the "Chink in the Armor" incident was an overblown accident.

Basically if Lin isn't scoring 30+ points he's just another NBA player? The fact that he's the only Asian guard to have played significant minutes is a huge feat and will cement his legacy.

I'm on twitter and people are saying 'what happened to lin? he's just another tebow who had a good 10 game stretch' blah blah blah. uninformed idiots.

Vapid and full of bland ignorance likely fueled by lack of basketball knowledge. Even tries to speak for all Asian Americans.

"Beverley had clearly become the better option and Lin was relegated to the bench"

    Huh?

Thats the perception. Thats what most people outside of Houston and around the world interpret the 6 man role the Lin currently has

But he was talking about Bev starting against the Thunder last year.

If you're going to write an article propping up Lin as some kind of symbol, at least get your facts straight.

Are you referring to the OP article? Because it wasn't pumping lin up, it was more or less saying he played like crap last season and Bev played better.

I freaking love Jeremy Lin. Love that guy. I really hope we find a way for this team to flourish with him being a key contributor, because he's super easy to root for. I never question his effort.

This dude obviously has not watched all Rockets game. If NBA experts (by that I mean coaches, GMs, sports commentators in general) say Lin had a solid season 2012-2013, then why would we want to care much about what he said?

Apparently Harden does. He is being sued for assault by an idiot he punched out now.

Also no mention of Lin's recovery from surgery last year, either. It was kind of weird reading about how he had "lost his first step" last season without calling out the obvious reason why.

The irony here is that the author is clearly falling prey to the same problem that everyone else did - Lin's failure to meet the unrealistic expectations of Linsanity. He is reacting by lowering the bar so drastically that it almost borders on farcical, similar to how many people like to say that Lin is "overrated" or "not a starting NBA point guard". Anyone who thinks that Lin shouldn't get into an All-Star game at least once during his career is doing his talent a huge disservice, because he clearly has that potential.

That being said, from a larger perspective the author's ultimate point rings true. In an ideal world, Lin's race never should've mattered in the first place. There should already be plenty of Asian players in the NBA, running the gamut from benchwarmers to All-Stars. It should be common enough that we don't think of it as a "thing" anymore, but just as a normal part of everyday life.

Tebow is currently unemployed, while Lin is often the 2nd offensive option on a contending team.

    Lazy lazy comparison.
