    False --- Game 1

That was his best playoff performance before last night's game.

Well not really. Unless you count Game 1.

I don't get why this matters so much and why we need a poll, though

    Clutch ,

this is a BEAUTIFUL THREAD! Props!

This a hard one for Lin fans, very easy for Rockets fans to answer

    If they vote "TRUE"
Lin fans agree with Lin, because Lin is their idol and what their idol says is true. if Lin said pigs fly, then Lin fans believe pigs fly

    If they vote "FALSE"
Lin fans are voting because Lin can never do anything negative in their minds

Hard question for the Lin fans

    True.

We are all excited about Lin's performance in game 1. But if you look at the big picture, thats the kind of performance we need from him. Maybe not every game but most of the games. That is the role that has been given to him.

Lin's performance from game 5 should be a norm. He didnt explode for 30 something points but for most of the game he played under control, made solid decisions, and limited his mistakes. I can live with his airballs here and there as long as he takes care of the ball. If he gets 15-20 points with a decent %, 5-7 assists, and limits his turnovers, I am a happy camper.

A big part of Rockets offense is built upon Harden and Lin penetrating and breaking down the Blazers's defense and unfortunately both have struggled in this regard. If these two had done their jobs, we would have been sitting pretty waiting on either the Spurs or the Mavs right now.

To add to the frustration, before the series started, I was really hopeful that Lin would exploit this matchup. Mo Williams and Lillard are both pretty bad defenders. Lin, with his quickness, should not be having problems breaking these two down off the dribble.

Game 1 and 3: 14 pts and 13 pts on 45.5% shooting for both, 4 AST and 6 AST.

I think that can be accepted as spark off the bench.

And don't we have enough polls and threads about Lin?

How is a good game every other game considered doing a great job? It's not. Read the question.

I was telling our great leader that I vote true.

He's been a great leader, more Rudy T than McHale.

Game 1 and game 3 he was not bad, honestly (other than not calling time out).

    Game 4 he was terrible.

    Game 5 he played well.

Is this like a bash Lin thread in disguise?

For this series I think Lin has been a offensive spark but his untimely mistakes really skew the perception against him. It goes without saying that this was a much needed performance.

That being said, I don't honestly think Jeremy has done that great of a job being the "spark off the bench" all season. He is certainly more than capable, as he's shown on occasion, but some combination of coaching, confidence, and experience leaves him short of that ideal sixth man role (and I'm holding Crawford and Ginobili as the standard here).

I'm sure he has alot of pressure going into this year's playoffs as he has essentially been a no show in his brief postseason career and this is another instance where I believe, with a few more seasons under his belt, Lin would excel more at his role.

Lin, however, is a great teammate and is willing to make the personal sacrifice for the team and that deserves commendation. No wonder Lin is great friends with Beverley, they both possess that quality.

    Let's get 'em in Portland!

    Great? No

Decent to Pretty good? I would have to say yes.

Some late, crucial mistakes have overshadowed a lot of what I have considered pretty good play overall based on expectations. Not to mention his continued pattern throughout games of going from great play to bone headed play always has people vacillating between YES LIN!! To DAMNIT LIN!! Can't remember who said it, but he really is Yo-Yo Lin, always seems to be up and down.
