Thanks, batkins! Awesome to see this for those of us who were mired with in-laws during the game.

This guy is special, his offensive arsenal of moves makes him near unstoppable one on one.

So, was that "crab dribble" at 2:38 actually a travel or not? When I saw it, I was like... uhh, that doesn't look legal...

A little bit inaccurate. He only has one move - the eurostep. He gets by on athleticism and strength alone.

He's going to need to develop some more offensively - a step back jumper, a jabstep, or even a floater - to be labelled "unstoppable".

Yet he is still 5th in the league in scoring.

Layups and 3 pointers. Only taking the efficient shots.

Man the last two shooting guards on our team had bad habits of taking long 2's.

Harden's offensive game is very difficult to guard because of its versatility, not because of specific "moves". Harden is a threat to nail open jumpers, he's a threat to hit the open man anywhere on the floor, and yes he's a threat to drive to the rim, and eurostep is by the way one of the hardest moves to guard in the entire NBA. Harden also has a variety of pump fakes and crossovers that he uses from time to time to get open.

The combination of drive + shoot + pass all at high proficiency is ridiculously difficult to guard effectively.

Yup, and "triple threat" guys are very hard to come by. Rose, LeBron, Harden and Westbrook, to only name a few.

That wasn't a crab dribble, crab dribble is something that Lebron used to do during his young Cleveland days. That move by Harden is just a hop step. Legal or not, it was a beautiful move that Clyde Drexler was hating on.

Its legal to take two steps after you pick the ball up with two hands... To the naked eye you think he travelled but really he timed it to perfection. This is a skill that is mostly forgotten and Harden is elite at it.

The question was whether or not it was legal...and the beauty of the move does matter if it is a travel or not....he could take the ball and moonstep his way to the basket if legality didn't matter...

Harden does not get by on athleticism and strength alone... If he does, he wouldn't be this effective or consistent. Harden is never known for being super athletic even though he is.

Harden has the Old Man's game style of play. Its about the style he prefers and how he scores. The things you listed like step back jumper, jabstep etc are just moves that some players prefer to use them and some others preferred different. Harden's euro-step is one of the best in the NBA and it is hard to guard and hard to do.

I remember seeing Westbrook trying to do the euro-step during a game once and he totally got so off balance that he fell and threw the ball out of bounds.
