Their starting PG got injured in the last exhibition game leading to this tournament. They're basically playing PG-less.

Well, he's doing a good job on Andersen and whenever he's on a guard at the perimeter. However, i find it a bit disconcerting that the coach totally abandoned him (and JV) when they were getting butchered by Aron Baynes.

Also, Joe Ingles is pretty good

Seeing as how DMo is glued to the bench, I've started following Brad Newley. Pretty scrappy, good slasher... ugly FT stroke

I wonder if he's banged up or just in the doghouse.

Has to be doghouse. Both him and JV started but were promptly sent to the bench because of Baynes' excellent play and the AUS guard play. They went with their veteran bigs and had some success.

They are still trailing though, benching your two best players as a long term strategy is sort of ridiculous. They'll probably lose as a result.

True, though I feel like this horrendous Lithuanian guard play is the more concerning issue.

Also, I find it hilarious that Andersen played some clutch minutes while DMo was riding the pine. Perhaps we should sign him, haha

    Good win Boomers!

    Someone sign Baynes!!!

Well yeah, that's most of what got them in the hole which was why benching Jonas and DMo seemed like an odd reaction. Either way, it almost worked because they came out after halftime super motivated and the guard play improved a bit. Honestly if they had put those two back in the game once they got back within 8 or so, they probably win this game.
