Dick probably didn't fit in Dallas. there will be plenty of space in Cleveland, now that Shawn's Marion is no longer filling up space.

I bet the Mavs aren't too upset over this. Signing an over-the-mountain 35 year old makes little sense for where the Mavericks are in their process, and Jefferson only has 1-2 years MAX left in his career. It's still funny watching the train wreck play out up in Little D though.

I bet they wish Matthews defected on them too. Or, they should.

Cuban told Mathews he could back out when DJ went back but Mathews stayed. Obviously for the money but stayed nonetheless

That's a smart Dick. Even an old gelding like him knows better than to stick it in a dying mare.

    Smart move,

staying in Dallas probably means he will be playing 20-30 mins per game while getting his ask kicked on the floor.

instead, going to the Cavs will mean his ass will be sitting at the end of the bench most of the time and probably getting a ring along with the paycheck.

I think it's good for Dick to pull out, Dallas is a long term commitment no one should make...

He's not good enough to hang in the Western conference. That's what I got out of it.
