It's pretty evident we're a better team when Lin is the primary ball handler.

Our offense is smoother, Lin is better, Harden is better, everyone plays better. I know Harden was trying really hard to prove something in OKC, but his whole "bulldoze his way into the paint without looking and just pray for a foul every time" style of play needs to die. Harden is a great passer, but it should be evident by now Lin is the better floor general and our entire team benefits more, the more he dribbles.

I want Lin handling my balls more than Harden.

    Discuss.

    5 Star Thread.

This definitely couldn't go in one of the other 1000 Lin-related ones.

Why does it have to be an argument between LOH and LOF? They should both agree on this topic.

Looks like we need to block any thread with Lin in the title whether is joke or not.

OP, can you not use such polarizing title? It would only make Rockets fans of the forum dislike Lin fans even more. Some title like who do you think should be out main ball handler (and even make a poll) would be much more welcome. Even as a big Lin supporter, I'm kind of turned off by such kind of polarizing title.

By the way, this topic is nothing new. Fans already posted hundred comments in various threads discussing it (torocan had some excellent argument with detailed reasoning). Team reporter Jason also had a nice article talking about the solution. To be honest, such kind of thread is really unnecessary.

50/50 should be the norm. In the beginning of the season...Harden handled the ball a majority of the time. I hope they realize it and changed it and let Lin attack more.

The forums these days are becoming less and less basketball related, and more "omg I saw 2643146124 plz lock this thread becuz i am super intersting and i make my own threads ev3rydayz".

On topic, I can't really see it. This is pretty much a new line up from last year, and with Lin holding the ball a majority of the time, there's nothing to compare him to. But I do agree, things run pretty smooth with him.

Or, maybe Lin is just given more freedom (or has more confidence) to handle the ball against lesser defensive teams.

No, opponent defensive ability is not a factor. Remember that Lin had much less freedom against Portand, and was even benched once in OT. Portland is in bottom 5 of defensive rating. So Lin's freedom isn't affected by whether the opposing team is good at defense.
