Dwight Jones is gonna get clowned so hard by the vet Texans. Calling himself the next Andre Johnson...lol...Jonathan Joseph needs to show him the ropes.

I didn't understand a damn thing during that entire interview w/ Dwight Jones.... all i heard was HOuston stand up..LMAO
Dwight said to expect him to be a starting WR for the Texans as a rookie. LOL Hope he proves me wrong for laughing but something tells me he doesn't know Kubiak very well. Hope he knows how to block and can run good routes, otherwise he'll be lucky to end up on p-squad.
Just heard that Dwight Jones audio. LOL awesome. I hope the kid gets it together and is able to contribute somehow.
Here's an interesting/kind of scary take from the scouting combine. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, but from listening to that audio/interview somebody posted earlier with him and then reading this, his biggest problem may be his attitude : http://www.cincyjungle.com/2012/2/26/2826327/2012-scouting-combine-wide-receiver-review ------------------------------------------------- Jones looks the part of a big, strong possession receiver. I didn't expect him to run very fast so the 4.55 was just fine. His 10-yard, vertical and broad jump were all below average. Jones' biggest disappointment of the day was in the positional drills. He looked lazy, ran the wrong routes and gave up on a few balls. You could hear the coaches yelling at him. I had him as a 3rd round pick and a top 100 prospect until today. This isn't about his game, which already had flaws, it's about his effort and ability to receive coaching. Both are negatives I do not want on my team. This is going to hurt him.
"Uses huge frame and long arms to deliver quality, powerful blocks on defensive backs." I dont have anything on the routes other than he needs work on that aspect. But does go on to say "Huge, imposing receiver...can make spectacular catch...rarely caught from behind when at top speed.... not fast out of cuts or quick off the snap."
I'm willing to bet we'll sign a guy sometime this summer after cuts that will be likely to start season as #3, or re-sign a guy like Bryant Johnson. Rookie receivers, other than studs like Julio Jones and AJ Green, very rarely step in and produce right away. There will be some cap casualties and we'll find a guy on the cheap that will be #3 IMO.
Im still excited about Lestar Jean...this little action we saw out of him combined with coaches reviews of him in practice...I think he's very talented. If he stays healthy, I think he can take Jacoby's spot at #3. As far as the rookies, it'll be an interesting battle in camp. If only we were doing Hard Knocks so that we could get a first hand look at everything.
I would look at teams like Jacksonville, Titans, Ravens, etc to cut receivers on their rosters after drafting a couple of receivers like we did. Lee Evans could be cut
Our WR3 may see extra time this year if Kubiak isn't as comfortable running as many double TE sets with Dressen gone. Based on the remaining crops of FA WRs, I wouldn't expect anybody in that group to come in and out perform Posey or Robinson.
