seen this video. was so shocked at how adept he was at using the left hand. that tells me his talent and upside is for real.
I love his hustle, rebounds, and ability to finish near the rim strong. Will fit greatly with Rocket's play style. There will be so many dunks between Robinson and Smith.
He sure has athleticism. My one concern is that coming from shot-happy Sacramento, he may try to overshoot? I'm looking forward to hustle, rebounds, put-backs, alley-oops, blocks, and solid defense. Too much to ask??
Playing Dmo at center with this guy at pf is the future. We'll still have 4 spacing guys, + 2 guys that can post up or hit the mid range. We could also run some high-low sets, flex screens, flat curls to alley-oops. The possibilities are truly endless. Here's to hoping they both pan out!
Yesterday Harden said Robinson just has to crash the boards and be a defendive power forward most likely get garbage buckets... He doesn't have to worry about scoring.
That's exactly what I see. With DMo's 3 point range, we still maintain spacing, and since both Robinson and DMo can run the court, you now have more options on the fastbreak. What we really need is for Robinson to become an elite or very good defender, and for Dmo to just be average.
For so many years, I never thought I would see someone in the Rockets uniform who could play above the rim like Tyson Chandler or Blake Griffins. Now Trob gets me excited. I could watch his highlights again and again. Get him up and running quickly, McHale.
he's going to look very attractive to Lin/Harden running the wing on the break. also, that spin move in the lane, finishing with the left hand, is very sweet. nice to see a guy who can go both ways (no homo). hard to figure why Sacramento gave up so soon on someone with that much pure talent.
Watching this vidoe alone the comparisons to Jordan Hill is way off. This guy is raw but his athleticism is top notch.
