    Now Republicans like to waive flags a lot and accuse Democrats like Obama of not being patriotic enough but this seems unpatriotic .

    Republicans by a ratio of more than 2-to-1 say the U.S. should support Israel even when its stances diverge with American interests, a new Bloomberg Politics poll finds. Democrats, by roughly the same ratio, say the opposite is true and that the U.S. must pursue its own interests over Israel's.

    I believe William Saletan wrote a piece in Slate last week on how the GOP has discarded the President of the United States and all of the authority of the office in favor of a comparatively unpopular Israeli socialist PM.

    I still remember debating Saletan on this forum when he supported the Iraq War and he was falling for the GOP spin.

    most of those republicans are the evangelical right so israel is more important to them than the president or our country because of armageddon and the rapture. they may be traitors but they think of the world in terms of black and white [good and evil].

    Clutch fans, I am disappoint. So disappointed, in fact, that I had to remember what my login was.

    How many of you actually went to the link and read the article? How many of you saw that 25% of democrats answered the same way?

    Once you read the survey questions, if you have any awareness at all you understand that it's BS.

    For the younger members of the group I'll leave you with two rules.

    1. Society is trying to influence you and gain your support by painting things in black or white, red and blue, etc.
    - If something sounds outrageous, somebody is trying to deceive you
    2. Surveys are propaganda and advertising tools. The only accurate surveys are ones with very simple questions.

    Please don't be a useful idiot for either side. Glynch, I know you are old enough and smart enough to know better. Stop trolling please.

    So....more independents are traitors than patriots, and 36% of Democrats hate America?

    Or maybe it's not as cut and dry as that?

    On the Netanyahu vs Obama, I'm not overly surprised 67% of self identified Republicans would answer that they are not sympathetic to a President they don't much like just after a (manufactured, in my opinion) scandal.

    Ya' gotta recognize click bait. I know the old dogs are just having fun...but some of the young'uns might be taking this seriously.

    I'm talking about his thread title which is total bull****. Air Langhi posted the question for you to make it easy to see glynch's dishonesty.

    Because they don't agree with Obama's position. Not complicated. How dare anyone disagree with Obama. How un-American right?
