Do you shampoo your beard? You have to shampoo it daily to keep it from itching, at least in my experience.

Once it gets longer than a couple inches it does not itch at all.

You need one more option, E) Already have large amounts of beardliness.

Mine is down to the middle of my chest(been growing it without a trim for three years now)

I've just been growing one out of laziness, but this seems like a good excuse to keep it growing past unreasonable levels that make people uncomfortable until I tell them it's a playoff beard. Then, they'll think it's cool. I should just do this year round and say, "There are playoffs going on somewhere. And it's 5:00 somewhere. *drinks a beer through giant unkempt beard at 9:00 a.m.*"

I don't vote in non-public polls unless Clutch starts them, but I can give an answer here. No, because I already have one. Not nearly as long as R2K's, though!

Had a beard years ago. I found the trick was to trim it as soon as possible so the end of the hairs are not sharp from the razor. Your face has to adjust, the period of itchiness is unavoidable. It will go away even if you stay trimmed though.

It took entirely too long for that to be pointed out. He even lists the question as an option in the post and adds "yes" to it. Peculiar...

E: Already have a beard (but not a harden length one).
Something else I found in the early days whilst mine was growing (and itchy) was to brush it.
The itchiness goes after time as you get used to it.

I would if I cold but my job requires no beard due to the fact that I may have to wear a respirator or SCBA for escape purposes.

Technically, I am the boss of the people who may have to wear a respirator and work in the front office but if I grow a beard, I would not be able to go to the place in the facility where they work which I do often.
