Browsing the depth charts of the various NBA teams, I started looking at the benches of various NBA teams and how talented they are. Interesting. I'm a secondary Lakers fans and was glad to see Clarkson, Williams, Young, Bass, and Sacre/Hill. Not bad. Not that far from Mills, Manu, Anderson, West, and Diaw. The Warriors aren't that bad except for their front court. Speights and Ezeli are a huge drop off from Green and Bogut. Injuries happen and a lot of these backups will be starting at some point during the season. So if you take away all of the starters from each team, who will have the best squad?
This is an excellent thread idea however impossible to answer without depth charts and too soon in the free agency. In one month or so we could. Is Hill still in the Lakers?
Cleveland, and considering they basically had 2 bench players carrying them through the finals, its not really even close. If you had: Dellavadova JR Smith James Jones Tristan Thompson Anderson Varejao That would still be significantly better than whatever Philly is rolling out on a nightly basis.
Other teams to consider. Chicago: Aaron Brooks Tony Snell McDermott Taj Gibson Mirotic Boston (who is really a team stock full of marginal NBA starters): Isaiah Thomas Evan Turner Jerebko Sullinger/David Lee Zeller I actually think the Timberwolves have great depth now too.
2guys still remain unsigned as of today, one guy may not even able to play and with a garbage co tract, one guy only getting to play because he is Lebrons friend. You called it a good bench?
As for Boston, no, they dont have a bench. Their starters are just the same as their bench and is 100% interchangeable.
Thanx! Nice link but its not correct yet. Some of these have not agreed to be resigned or are waived. Milwaukees second : Vasquez Mayo Inglis Henson Pachulia Btw bostons depth chart is crazy.
I at first thought the Spurs sacrificed their marquee depth for LMA, they still have a nice second unit: Mills Ginobili Boris West Obviously still some holes to fill, but who does that better than the Spurs?
Is JR coming back? That's a small lineup. Only one front court player. You gotta put Mike Miller in there and maybe Christmas or Varejao.
